Article Processing Charges (APC)

Medical Letter (Med Ltr) is committed to publishing high-quality research and ensuring the broad dissemination of scientific knowledge in the medical sciences. To cover the costs associated with editorial management, manuscript processing, peer review, production, DOI registration, and online publication, an Article Processing Charge (APC) is applied to accepted manuscripts.

Article Processing Charge

• APC: USD 300 per accepted manuscript
• There are no submission charges.
• The APC is payable only after the manuscript has successfully completed the peer-review process and has been accepted for publication.

• Editorial screening and manuscript handling
• Single-blind peer review process
• Professional copyediting and proofreading
• Article formatting and typesetting
• DOI (Digital Object Identifier) assignment
• Online publication and permanent accessibility
• Digital archiving and preservation
• Metadata preparation and indexing support

Payment Policy

• An invoice will be issued upon acceptance of the manuscript.
• Payment must be completed before the article is scheduled for publication.
• The APC is non-refundable once the article enters the production and publication stage.

Waiver Policy

The Editorial Board may consider APC waivers or discounts in exceptional cases, particularly for authors facing financial constraints or those affiliated with institutions in low-income countries. Requests for waivers will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
